Optimising the building services design

A $1 billion development comprising of four towers (ranging from 90 -150 m in effective height), 2500 apartments and 30 retail outlets, the Upper West Side precinct creates residential living with an entire pocket of Melbourne.

With higher fire statistics than any other building type coupled with the ever changing demographics, the fire safety strategy for this project required efficient coordination from schematic design phases through to construction and commissioning. Involvement in this project from an early stage created additional opportunities to optimise the building services as they developed whilst reducing cost and increasing efficiency.
